A few weeks ago I sent out a tweet searching for the best Female MCs in Chicago. Runway Bella was mentioned several times and I agree. One of the things that I like about her music is the 3 Dimensional topic matter. Her lyrics and concepts are complex. Do They Hear Me is a great example of this. Here she talks about her apprehension about her future. TrackBangas gives a dark beat to match the vocals and Forman James does a good job showing Bella’s emotion.

Chicago has a ton of Dope Artists in the Entertainment Scene here. Sometimes quality artists get lost in the shuffle. Also Bloggers at times are scared to post music from artists that don’t have a huge brand name. Tha Guyver dropped a slept on Jewel in February that this blog did not cover. Ignorant Excellence is impressive.Tha Guyver effortlessly flows over each song. Na$im Williams proves that he can carry the bulk of an album and still provide excitement. Paypa provides the slow flow to “Double R.” The marriage between Tha Guyver smooth lyrics and the stunning sonic backdrops that Na$im Williams merge makes “Ignorant Excellence” excellent.
